As Eller strained to ignore the pompousware, he reached down. Taking hold of
Phara's upper arms, he pulled her up with muscles rare in a world of VR enhancement.
Toughened from years of fighting the feedback pressures of his board, Eller found Phara
not too heavy, but she was limp, and hard to manage. He grunted at the effort of
controlling her flopping extremities he got her pulled her up against his chest. With her
curves pressed tightly to him, Eller walked bent-legged towards the exit to street level.
He leaned against a wall, holding her upright as the car arrived. Eller really hoped the
govware wasn't accessing his fibersuit's medware. "At a couple of gigaflops a sec, of
course it won't. No time," he lamented silently.
He swung her around as the vehicle hummed to a stop. The door clic'd open. While
he levered Phara inside, her bouncy, playful, simulation jumped into the car, pulling
Eller's glowing simulation in beside her.
Brain-wore, Eller giggled at the strange sensation of doing one thing while seeing
himself do another.
The ramp car's door clic'd closed. Eller leaned back into the friendly comfort of the
seat. The govware had already loaded Phara's address into the carnet, so Eller
accelerated the car onto the express way, then locked it down to the speeding ramp.
With Phara still asleep, resting against an exhausted Eller, the govware lev'd down. It
closed the spyware, along with the flop intensive dual net.lifes it had been running,
smoothly morphing the two scenes together. The public-net was again collecting true
data from their fibersuits and implants.
    Life lev.down, Eller and Phara

floated peacefully through the night on the cushion of
air that supported the flowing ribbon of ramp.
