Asteroid 000 is what I call a freeform cast piece of paper. The piece is made from approximately three gallons of specially prepared, and colored pulp. A mixture of acrylics, watercolors, and inks were blended so that as the piece was drying the various pigments would migrate to create random areas of concentration and rarification of the color. While the piece was still very wet, water droplets were flung at the piece to create actual impact craters in the surface of the thick layer of pulp and water suspension. The effect is very pleasing in its realistic yet artistic recreation of the surface of one of these travelers of the cosmos.
